A corner store, brought online.
For a lot of us, mornings growing up started the same way. The smell of breakfast coming from the kitchen — eggs, bacon, toast or pancakes. An old percolator going for somebody’s coffee. A bowl of cereal on lighter days. Lunch packed, shoes on, out the door to school.
From the time of opening our eyes to the moment we stepped outside, we’d already reached for a dozen everyday brands without once stopping to think about them.
Those of us who grew up in a large metropolitan area remember those visits to what we called “The Corner Store.” Nothing fancy — a small neighborhood shop with baking supplies, bar soap, and most of what a household runs through in a week. It was never meant to replace the big grocery trip. It was available for those days when a large grocery store visit was not practical.
That’s what we’re building at Chi-Metro S&S. The same one-stop convenience those little mom-and-pop shops offered, brought online and sent to your door.
Shelf-stable groceries, household basics, and more, handpicked. If something earns a spot on our shelves, it’s because we’d keep it in our own cupboard.
